Asthma is the most common chronic disease in childhood and it a major global health problem. characterized by airway inflammation pathogenetic mechanisms leading to asthma are likely be diverse, influenced multiple genetic polymorphisms as well environmental factors, including respiratory tract infections. Chlamydia pneumoniae human pathogen belonging Chlamydiae family. Since its recognition 1989, C. has been extensively studied for role widespread potential consequences both children adults. Its ability evade immune system, biphasic development cycle, capacity spread throughout host made suspect many inflammatory diseases, asthma. pneumonia of particular interest among various infections associated with new-onset asthma, severity, treatment resistance.
